Dear Jamie, Thank you for getting back to me. I have decided to use PersonalData.IO to process my subject access request. I like the service because it helps me keep all my requests organized. Your demand that I use the same email address to contact you is fundamentally inappropriate: it's as if you were asking me to use FedEx rather than DHL. Facebook can't dictate the channel to communicate with them for such Subject Access Requests. Or at least if Facebook does, I will similarly request your own direct email address so I can contact you, rather than use the computer generated one I have now been given by Facebook. Also, if Facebook dictates the channel, that channel should make sense. If I was to use the same email address to make the request, it would only prove that I can control the email address, while what you really want is for me to prove that I own the Facebook account. So instead of playing tons of shenanigans, I suggest you just look at this link and satisfy yourself with this proof: https://www.facebook.com/paulolivier.... Dear Mr << Name removed >> , Thank you for your email, in which you have requested information about what personal data we control regarding videos you watch on Facebook. As a result of systems that we have carefully architected in order to promote transparency and inform our users, they are able to access information regarding videos they have watched under the "Videos Watched" tab in their Activity Log - see here: https://www.facebook.com/help/2890668... . Please note that these systems do not capture views of Live videos, and that information is not kept by us in readily accessible form. This and other standard information regarding our users' activity on Facebook is logged automatically. However, this logged information is not retained at a user account level (and does not fall within the scope of section 4 of the Irish Data Protection Acts). Rather it is aggregated and then used to inform matters such as News Feed ranking for everyone on Facebook, and also to provide users with insights into interactions with their videos. For more information see: https://www.facebook.com/help/1443647... https://www.facebook.com/help/2037591... https://media.fb.com/2016/08/10/new-v... We hope this is of assistance. For your information, you are also entitled to contact the Office of the Irish Data Protection Commissioner, Canal House, Station Road, Portarlington, Co. Laois, Ireland with any concerns you may have regarding our response. We note that you have again (as with previous requests) referred this matter to Truste. As we have explained to you previously, Facebook Ireland Limited is the data controller regarding your use of the Facebook Service. As a result it is the entity which is responsible for responding to questions such as this. Your query is not directed to issues regarding data transfers to Facebook, Inc.; nor is this a matter that Facebook, Inc. would be in a position to assist you with, given it is not the data controller for the Facebook Service outside of the United States and Canada. Therefore, this is not a case which has any connection to the CH/US Safe Harbor scheme; and, correspondingly, Truste. Yours sincerely, Bobby Facebook -----Original Message---- From: << Name removed >> << Name removed >> <<email address>> To: Facebook Subject: Re: Re: Personal data and the FB livestream from the "President Donald J.
